Significance of the Ketu Planet

The Ketu or the south node of the moon has an important part in the birth chart of an individual. Ketu is not a real planet and is considered as a shadow planet. It is the point where the orbit of the moon intersects the path of Sun.

Rahu and Ketu are interconnected as Rahu is the face of the snake, and Ketu is the tail of the snake. Ketu relates to the qualities of spirituality, instinct, meditation, loneliness and disinterestedness.
